With the winter season now upon us, many people are going through their performance reviews, discussing what went well (and sometimes being told what didn’t go well!).
We are very glad to invite RON DICKINSON as our speaker in this course.

Ron gives a review of the practical sides of promoting yourself principally in using Performance Appraisals/Reviews but also touches on the experience he has learned in job placement and new job interviewing activities.

Ron will review his experience over forty years dealing with Performance Appraisals, how they have been set up, what went well, what to look out for and the interesting ways to promote yourself that he found useful. He also discusses those awkward moments when he got told he wasn’t doing so great a job, and how he overcame his initial frustration to still make the interview a positive improvement on his career.

Ron will also talk briefly on the pitfalls and opportunities that people will face after they have received their bonus and then decide to look for a new job. Getting it right the first time puts you ahead of your competition in today’s huge job market. In this, you may pick up some good points, maybe even some bad points, but you will also chuckle at some of the disasters that Ron has encountered along the way.

Speaker：
RON DICKINSON
Ron has had forty years of work experience in shipping, liquid logistics, dangerous goods terminalling and FMCG warehousing and distribution. He has worked extensively in Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia and has been in China for the past 6 years. Ron got his MBA from Strathclyde Business School and is a trained HR negotiator and Process Professional. Ron has worked in Operations for most of his career but has also been in Business Development, Commercial and in General Management for 16 years.
Ron (in his own words) doesn’t know it all and believes in constant re-education and regeneration of ideas to make successful managers and people. Ron is now a Conversationalist and Business Consultant in Shanghai.
