The Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) certification provides you with the information you need to meet today's supply chain logistics challenges.
1. What is the APICS CLTD Certification?
The Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) certification provides you with the information you need to meet today’s supply chain logistics challenges.
Created by APICS with a team of subject matter experts, the CLTD designation covers a comprehensive body of knowledge that sets the global standard for best practices in logistics, transportation and distribution.
2. What are the requirements for earning the APICS CLTD certification?
To earn APICS CLTD certification, you must pass one, comprehensive exam.
3. How many questions are on the APICS CLTD exam?
The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (130 operational and 20 pretest) delivered via computer-based testing (CBT) through the Pearson VUE network of test centers. The pretest questions do not contribute to your total score but are necessary for research purposes. These pretest questions are randomly distributed among the scored items and will be used for statistical purposes only. The pretest items are similar to the scored items on the test, and candidates will not know which items will be scored and which will not. Candidates should answer all exam questions.
4. How much time will candidates have to complete the APICS CLTD exam?
Candidates will have 3.5 hours to complete the exam. There are no waivers for this exam. All candidates must take and pass the CLTD examination to earn the CLTD certification.
5. What are the eligibility requirement for the APICS CLTD exam?
To be eligible to take the APICS CLTD exam, you must have:

3 years of related business experience or
-
Bachelor’s degree or the international equivalent*, or
-
Possess one or more of these certifications active or in good standing CSCP, CPIM, CFPIM, CIRM, SCOR-P, CTL, C.P.M., CSM or CPSM designations.
* APICS defines the international equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree as the level of study that would qualify an individual for a graduate program in the country where the undergraduate degree was earned.
There is no fee to apply for APICS CLTD eligibility. Visit apics.org/eligibility to submit an application. Eligibility application approvals do not expire.

6. How long will it take to receive my CLTD eligibility approval?
Eligibility applications are processed immediately, however these applications are subject to random audit and some candidates will be required to submit additional documents.
7. What is the best preparation method for the APICS CLTD exam? Is courseware or training required?
While training is not required to the take the exam, using the study materials are highly recommended. The CLTD Learning System is the most comprehensive CLTD certification exam study tool available. Visit the Education Selector for more information on the Learning System and other study tools.
8.How much is the CLTD Learning System?
Candidates can purchase the CLTD Learning System from SCOM.

9. Where do I find the CLTD Exam Content Manual?
For exam preparation, use of the CLTD ECM is strongly recommended. You may preview the CLTD Exam Content Manual by visiting apics.org/handbook, the full version is available for purchase in Shop APICS for nonmembers and the full version is available FREE for APICS Plus Members.
10. How much is the CLTD Exam?
Candidates must purchase an Authorization to Test (ATT) which is valid for six months from the date of issuance. Pricing is as follows:
APICS PLUS members:¥3600
Core Members / Nonmembers:¥4200
Candidates can also purchase an exam credit through an APICS partner or chapter. Exam credits are valid for six months from the date of issuance and must be used as payment for an exam Authorization to Test (ATT) within that period. Exam credits are non-transferable and non-refundable. Candidates should contact their APICS partner or chapter for information on exam pricing and procedures, and can visit apics.org/apics-for-individuals/partners/find-a-partner to find a partner in their local area.
